The RCST initiated finishing course for call center agents for some 3,000 persons launched.

A project of TESDA which aims to train some 3,000 beneficiaries and provide jobs to successful trainees was created when the Bagong Henerasyon Foundation, Inc. of IPP BH Herrera-Dy and RCST held exploratory talks with Sec. Augusto “Boboy” Syjuco of TESDA.

TESDA requires that there should be a local government unit (LGU) component and a non-government organization (NGO) component for the project to take off and that is where the Rotary Club of South Triangle came in.

Because of the magnitude of the project, RCST saw it fit to elevate this to a district project.  And on Nov. 15, 2006 a MOA signing among Sec. Boboy Syjuco of Tesda, Mayor Sonny “SB” Belmonte of Quezon City and Gov. Danilo “Danny” Espinosa of Rotary International District 3780 took place at the Bulwagan Amoranto.

RCST celebrated its 14th Charter Anniversary at the Amoranto Multi-purpose hall.

The Rotary Club of South Triangle held its very successful 14th Charter Anniversary celebration at the Amoranto Multi-Purpose Hall last November 9, 2006.

In line with this year’s R.I. theme “Lead the Way”, the RCST 14th charter anniversary theme is “Leaders of Nations”.  Members, Rotarians and guests were encouraged to come and join the celebration as a “leader of nation” look alike.  As expected the celebration brought a lot of fun and fellowship.

As the club grew older by another year, it also added a new member to its roster.  Baby Rotarian Tony Bacunawa’s sponsor is Rtn. Sonny Roa-Yu.  He was charged by PP Willy Chi and inducted by AG Jun Belgica.  A warm welcome to Baby Rtn. Tony to the world of Rotary!

With all the “Leaders of Nations” that attended the club’s 14th charter anniversary celebration, it was PP Edcel Lagman alias “Yasir Arafat” that won the most outstanding costume / look alike.

The place was really beautiful what with the many rest houses and shades made of bamboo and nipa, well maintained lawn, fish ponds, swimming pool, Jacuzzi, lounging chairs, cool breeze and lots of green trees.

Food, drinks and fresh fruits were plenty.  Everyone just did what he or she feels like doing.  The affair was a real success!  The objective exceeded expectations.  And the RCST family remains strong as ever.  Mabuhay ang RCST!
